  1. To me this movie shows how fast cybernetics moves from a cheap hotel gathering, "clumsy" hard/soft performance, hobbiest/accademic approach to it with some glances of corporate/military. You can complete the story with what you know now: in 1997 Deep Blue beats Kasparov, then google, mobile, so on and so forth.
Tasks that seems to be out of reach from cybernetics could be a common task in a few years. Computers "learns" faster than organics

  2. This movie felt like a disappointment when I first watched it. Then I watched it again. And again. And now I can't stop thinking about it.

  3. The first few seconds of this trailer:

    "Two sides."
    "Different colors."
"One of 'em has got to win and one of 'em has got to lose."

Uh… what about if the game is a draw?

That opening statement tells me all I need to know about this movie.

  4. Having not read up about Computer Chess It took me a full 20 minutes until i realised it was a spoof and not a documentary. It really does look authentically old. Although this is hardly going to send your pulses racing it's strangely interesting none the less. 6 out of 10

  5. Would anyone happen to know the name of the song that begins to play at 1:00? I have looked for the soundtrack online, but the particular song that begins to play at 1:00 does not appear to be on the soundtrack. Could anyone help? I would be forever grateful.

    Thank you!
