  1. I know this is an old video, and this probably will go unnoticed, but if you run linux all you have to do is ssh into your laptop using a terminal app on android and issue the shutdown command… Smartphones were still new in 2008, but android is technically just modified linux…

  2. And if you wanna get real creative (if you have an iPhone with iOS 12 or later) you can create a Siri Shortcut to send that SMS so that you can tell Siri to turn off your computer. You're welcome 🙂
    EDIT: Also, use IFTTT instead of kwiry because kwiry doesn't work anymore.

  3. From his explanation, this is not an easy thing to set up. You have to be a kind of PC geek to know all those steps. For now, I'll just rely on my usual way of shutting it down. Thanks for the effort though.
